Nino flew into Ohno’s arms when he spotted the man among the crowds at the airport. Tears started to flow when Ohno tightened his hold on Nino. He missed his boyfriend so much. How did he survive three months without Ohno? He could barely hold himself together right now because he missed Ohno so much!
“Why are you crying, Kazu?” asked Ohno with a hint of teasing. He knew exactly why Nino was crying.
“Because I miss you, idiot,” said Nino, reluctantly letting go of Ohno to smack his boyfriend’s head. Ohno laughed in return before he lifted Nino’s chin.
“I miss you too, Kazu,” said Ohno, looking straight at Nino’s eyes before he leaned forward to kiss Nino. Of course, Nino responded to the kiss, forgetting that they were in public right now.
The sound of throat-clearing from behind Ohno distracted him so he ended the kiss to look at the person standing behind Ohno. It was Ohno’s manager, Jun.
“Oh, it’s you,” said Nino, pretending to be unhappy to see Jun. They might not be close but he appreciated everything that Jun had been doing for his boyfriend. Ohno wouldn’t be in the US if it wasn’t for Jun. “How are you, Junny?”
“Junny?” said Jun. “Can you call me Matsujun like normal people? Or Matsumoto-sama?”
Nino stuck his tongue out at Jun before pointing to Aiba who moved to stand behind him. Upon seeing Jun, Aiba immediately hugged the manager. “Blame Aiba-chan for it,”
“Junny!” Aiba said happily. As expected, Jun made a face when he heard Aiba call him the same nickname. “Glad to see you again! Who is this person?”
Hearing that, Nino immediately noticed a Japanese person who was standing next to Jun. He was slightly shorter than Jun. His face immediately blushed upon being addressed by Aiba, earning a frown from Nino. Why would he blush?
“Oh, this is Sho-chan,” Instead of Jun, it was Ohno who introduced them to the other Japanese guy. “He is our housemate,”
“Your housemate?” Nino was surprised. This was the first time he heard about this. “Why didn’t you tell me about this?”
“I didn’t?” Asked Ohno innocently, scratching his head. “I forgot,”
Knowing Ohno, it was a reasonable explanation. He had the memory of a goldfish.
“We talked all the time,” said Nino. “You could tell me you have another housemate besides Junny during our video call,”
“True,” agreed Ohno. “But, when I see you, I forget everything else and I just want to talk about us,”
The look on Ohno’s face made Nino blush. And, he felt the need to change the subject. That was when he noticed Jun’s luggage.
“Are you going somewhere, Junny?” He immediately asked.
“Can you please stop calling me Junny?” chided Jun. “It doesn’t sound manly,”
Nino stuck his tongue out, ignoring Jun’s wrath. “Where are you going, Junny?”
Of course, he had to emphasize the name. He just enjoyed making the man annoyed with him.
“I’m going back to Japan,” answered Jun.
“Huh?” Nino was shocked. It wasn’t something he expected. “Did Ohchan fire you and replace you with Sho-chan?”
Jun rolled his eyes, looking offended.
“As if he could replace me with someone else,” said Jun. “Your boyfriend’s exhibition is on a break so I decided to go back to Japan for one week to meet my family. Aiba-chan can use my room while I’m gone. You can share the room with Ohno-kun. I don’t want to hear the noises you two will be making while you’re here. That’s why I will be going home. When I get back here, you will be in Japan so I don’t have to listen to your noises,”
Nino looked at Ohno, certain that the expression on Ohno’s face matched his. They knew what noise Jun was talking about.
“You will still hear the noise when you get back here,” Aiba said suddenly. “We will be here for more than one week,”
The words were out of Aiba’s mouth before Nino could stop him. Being too distracted by the thoughts of being alone with Ohno making noises that Jun wouldn’t want to hear made him forget about the surprise he had for Ohno. And, now, Aiba had ruined it because Ohno would be asking about it.
“What is he talking about?” Asked Jun, looking at Ohno. “Didn’t you say this brat will be here for only one week?”
“I’m confused too,” answered Ohno, frowning at Nino. “Kazu, what is Aiba-chan talking about?”
“Eh?” Now, it was Aiba’s turn to be shocked. “You haven’t told Ohchan about it?”
Everyone was now staring at Nino, including Sho whom he just met, waiting for an answer. Nino sighed. Guess he had to tell Ohno the news now. Geez, Aiba, this was his fault!
“Our company has a client here and they gave us a project,” Nino explained. “Aiba-chan and I will be managing the project. So, we will be here for six months,”
It was a miracle. Perhaps because he had been willing to be in a long-distance relationship with Ohno, the lord had rewarded his patience by giving him the opportunity to work in the US even though it was just for a while.
Nino didn’t care for Sho’s and Jun’s reactions. His eyes were only for Ohno, wanting to see how the man would react.
“So, you will be here more than one week?” Asked Ohno for confirmation.
Nino nodded. “Yes. But, I will have to stay with you for one week. The house they give us will be ready next week,”
“Oh, it doesn’t matter,” said Ohno. “You should just stay with me,”
“Urgh, nope!” Jun interrupted. “When the house is ready, you go with him. That way, I will not hear the noises at all,”
Jun then looked at his watch and started to panic. “I should get going. Else, I will miss the flight,”
With that, the man walked away from them. Aiba and Sho looked at each other and then followed him. Nino was ready to follow but Ohno stopped him.
“I don’t have a ring right now,” Ohno said, almost mumbling. His face was red. “But… since you will be here for a while… Hmm… if I propose to you… Hmm… will you marry me?”
Nino wasn’t surprised by the proposal. A part of him had hoped for it to happen. Indeed, their romantic relationship barely began. But, they had known each other for a while and Nino knew Ohno was his soulmate. So, with certainty, he answered.
“Yes,”
A/N: So, this will be the final part of this fic. Hope it is okay.
