Last night I had trouble sleeping and ended up waking up at 3 AM. Ugh, dammit, it took me forever to get back to sleep.
1st Hour: I got to school really late, so I had to rush learn the parts of the story that we learned today. A lot of it didn't stick in my head, so I am gonna have to practice a bit more tomorrow.
2nd Hour: I continue to variate between absolutely despising this class and loving it. Today I am happy to say it was one of the latter, as Jimi and Mike were both in good moods. Aurielle was strangely missing today though...I haven't seen her in years. I kept falling asleep during the lesson, and Mr. Bibik said that that happened yesterday as well, though I still deny it!
3rd Hour: God DAMMIT! How many grammatical errors can litter a single page? How many undone captions and screwed up photos? Ughhhhhh. Thank God Nick fixed the photos that were supposed to be in black and white or I would have shot somebody. At least I am doing something this week though.
Lunch: Enjoyable as always, but at the moment it hurts to think about food. I am too full.
4th Hour: Sectionals. We talked a lot about the setting required for practice and then played a few pieces. It was nice, but I nearly passed out at the end of the class because I was tired.
5th Hour: We're AP, and we spend a lot of the hour tossing jokes at each other. We did get a packet on Othello however that is 45 pages wrong and we have to read. Dammit, I am so excited to read this play. It sounds great!
6th Hour: Um, lots of talking about the article, some current events and such. Pretty uneventful.
Practice was pretty brutal, as we were warned. I was mostly partnered with this kid Ray, who I think is a Freshmen, but he was kicking my ass. Whatever, I'll get better. I missed the first week of practice, so I'm behind massively. Coach told us he'd let us out of practice early if we impressed him with the amount of effort we put into the last three matches. Again, Ray was kicking my ass, but I think I tried hard. Dammit, I did try hard. For the second match, I sparred a bit with Coach Selph who helped catch me up on a few maneuvers.
Ray mentioned that my stance is getting better, which is probably due to Alex's constant yelling about how I was moving like a robot. I have no idea whether Alex likes me and was merely trying to help me improve, or really does think I am an idiot, but I don't care much either way. I'm getting better every day. My body is starting to finally get used to the rigors of training.
Coach Skop was pleased with how practice went. That was good to hear seeing as Coach Salyers told us we were lazy yesterday. I was pleased with myself. I still get nervous before every practice...but dammit, I enjoy it.
My dad and I had a long talk about life and fate, and that improved my spirits seeing as I left my practice clothes at Mott. Dammit. I am going in earlier to see if they are where I left them. I really hope they are.
And now? I am going off to play Pharaoh.
