Terminator Mini-Rant
I understand that there's (theoretically) a finite number of names out there and there's likely to be a certain amount of repetition. I mean- just look at all the damn Jack's out there - too many to deal with almost.
So when the FBI agent on Terminator (which I rather like as a show) was named Ellison, I sighed and shrugged and went with it. Large, fairly attractive black man with a neat goatee - I'm good.
But I find out tonight that they'd given him the first name of James. HONESTLY!!!! Of all the damn first names out there!!!! James Ellison is reserved for my blue-eyed Sentinel Richard Burgi only!!!!!! I could have lived with William or Steven better than James but even those are too close!
Hundreds of male names out there and you have to dead on copy an already used name???
