Chapter 16
Jun stood on the top of the building observing the situation below. He felt the steady movement and the sound of the wind to bring him a clue on Nino’s missing case. He then jumped in the middle of the moving crowd, closing his eyes to focus on Nino’s scent. He had arrived there at Osaka where Nino had been found missing later than he should be because of things he had to taken care of and extra protection he needed to make sure.
This wasn’t the first time human had ever discovered about their races but indeed the first to take action. Humans usually waited for vampires to attack or threaten them openly before taking any action but this time they had taken the initiative to strike first, or that was what he thought.
Opening his eyes slowly, Jun saw a teenage boy was running away from the alley behind the stores. He frowned as he realized the look of terror that boy has as he went past him. He didn’t have to stop the boy and asked what was going on in the alley as he heard a horrified screaming sound coming from there. He was thankful that no other humans that were walking around that place can hear that.
Quickly but swiftly Jun went on his way through the crowd to the origin of the sound. He kept his mantel closer to his body to avoid human from noticing his true nature, as he may lost control and transformed there right that instant due to anger. He truly despised vampires that had no respect to human whatsoever as he once told Aiba. He knew that regarding this matter, humans were now too vigilant to their races.
When he arrived there at the alley, he was greeted with a scene where a few people who he assumed were vampires squatting around a teenage girl who was now lying motionless.
“Hey!”
The vampires turned to face him and he can see traces of blood on their mouths. There were four of them and they were feeding on that poor girl as Jun noticed it. Jun changed his gazed from the vampires and the girl, thinking whether to fight them or save the girl. Aware that the vampires had made their move, Jun had no choice but to fight them. He just hoped that the girl didn’t die on him just yet. He advanced forward indicating that he accepted the challenge and their battle began.

Sho and Aiba had decided to take a hot bath to calm themselves from the sudden news. It was Sho who suggested that upon seeing Masaki all sticky and too worried. Leaving Ohno in Toma’s care, both men disappeared into the bathroom. Aiba had prepared the warm water in the bathtub before the two got in. They sat each at the end while facing each other linking their hands under the water.
“Master…” Aiba called.
“em?” Sho smiled looking at his lover.
“I’m worried…”
“About Nino?”
“Yes…” Aiba answered quietly “… and all this…”
“You don’t have to worry…” Sho said squeezing Aiba’s hands gently. “I’ll protect you from anything…”
“I know…” Aiba smiled. He inhaled a little looking right into Sho’s eyes. “but I feel sad for Ohno-san. Now that Nino-san had been captured, he must be sad and all…” he looked down before resuming. “I don’t know what I’ll do if you’re the one being captured…”
“Masaki, I won’t let myself being captured…” Sho said as he brought Aiba’s hands to his mouth and kissed it “… I’ll always be right beside you…” he then moved closer to Aiba’s side before hugging him “… and I think its time for you to call me Sho…”
“But-” Aiba stopped as Sho’s finger landed on his mouth.
“No, buts… I want you to call me Sho as Ohno had called Nino, Kazu…”
“Yes, Mas-” Aiba stopped as he realized what he was about to say before continuing “… Sho…”
“That’s more like it…” Sho smiled widely. “Now wash my hair, Masaki…” he said playfully.
Aiba started to massage Sho’s hair with a smile. “Yes, Sh-”
“KAZU!!”
Both men’s eyes widened as a scream being heard throughout the mansion.

Thinking that he can outdo all the other four vampires really wasn’t a smart thinking at all. Jun kneeled under a tree, panting as he was taking cover from being attack from all corner. Hoping that they didn’t find him there, he leaned back against the tree, nursing his wounds. Vampires usually heal very quickly but since he didn’t have enough strength left to heal himself, he had to bear with it until he can find blood to drink.
A cracking sound caught his attention and his eyes fluttered open. He got himself ready to face anything as he stood up and watched his surrounding. The sound suddenly stopped before a loud screaming being heard, continuously. It was as if someone had been attacking the vampires and now torturing them.
Slowly he stepped out from his hiding place when the voices finally gone. He kept his eyes and senses alert to any upcoming movement and sound. He froze in place when a painful scream filled the air.
Jun was oblivious to the movement behind him as he was too focused on hearing the voices until he felt a sharp pain behind his back. He stumbled forward and the last thing he saw was two men wearing a huge white coat frowning down at him.

“whats wrong?” Aiba asked as soon as he entered the room with Sho a few steps behind him. “What happen?”
“He called for Ninomiya as soon as he’s awake…” Toma said indicating Ohno. Aiba looked at the poor man that was being held down by Kame on the bed. He struggled so hard that even Kame as a vampire had a hard time holding him down.
“Damn this human is strong…” Kame said as he started to tie Ohno’s hands to the headrest.
“Let me go!” Ohno shouted. “Kazu needs me… I have to save him!”
“Ohno-san…” Aiba said as he stepped closer to Ohno before being held back by Toma.
“I wouldn’t get near him now…” Toma said looking at Sho to get Aiba to him. Sho pulled Aiba closer to him and they watched as Ohno struggled hard to free himself.
“Why can’t I-” Aiba was meant to ask Toma why he can’t approach Ohno when he was just in time to see a scratch on Toma’s cheek. “What happen to you?” he asked stepping closer to Toma and touched the wound. “I’ll get the first-aid kit…” he said before Toma stopped him.
“It’s ok, Masaki. It’ll heal itself…” Toma said as he smiled to Aiba.
“Oh, ok…” Aiba responded before getting back his focus to Ohno. “we’re take care for him now. You can go and take some rest…” he said to Kame. Kame smirked to the boy before pulling his master out of the room. Toma managed to get to Sho before Kame started dragging him out.
“I’ll keep him by myself if I were you…” Toma whispered to Sho. “He’s too precious…”
“I intend to do just that…” Sho smiled looking at his lover that was looking at Ohno with worried look.
“Ohno-san…” Aiba called gently as he sat beside him on the bed.
“Masaki, you have to let me go…” Ohno pleaded. “You understand how I feel right?”
“I do…” Aiba answered sofly. “That’s why I can’t let you go…”
“Kazu’s waiting for me… you has to let me go… please…”
“Ohno-san, I can’t… Ninomiya-san would’ve wanted you to stay safe in here…”
“No, you don’t understand!” Ohno started yelling again. “Sakurai is here so that’s why you dare saying that!” he cried out. “Kazu’s waiting for me to save him… please let me go… let me go now!”
Aiba looked down hearing Ohno’s words because he knew that he would’ve done the same if Sho’s the one being captured. “Ohno-san, I’m really sorry…” he stood up walking away from the bed and slumped down on the couch. He felt tears slowly fell down his cheeks. He was about to wipe his tears away when he felt strong arms hugging him from behind.
“Masaki, cry all you want… I’m here for you…” Sho whispered and Aiba started sobbing into his chest. “I’ll always be with you…”

Jun opened his eyes to the pain on his head. He realized that he was at the back of some kind of van that was moving with chained hands. He looked around to realize that he wasn’t the only one as he saw the other scrunching at the corner of the van. The smell radiating from the man showed that they were the same species. He was about to call upon him when the van suddenly stopped. He just realized that there were bars around the van when someone opened the back door and two men that were wearing a mask looking back at him.
Jun turned to the gloomy figure at the corner before deciding that the man wasn’t going to move anytime soon. Foolish human, thinking that they can keep me in here with this metal bar, he thought as he stepped toward the bar. He managed to touch it only for a second before something burned his skin.
“Shit, its silver…” he cursed.
