Worked all day yesterday. The campus hosted an open house event. We had over 3000 students and their guests come to see the university, attend workshops and presentations. It was a long day, but it will bring more students to the university in the fall. So it's worth it.
Mads is featured in the March issue of L'Uomo Vogue. I went out to find the magazine this morning, but it's not easy to find. But the pics were online so I made an icon from one of them. I *love* the hat!
In the original photo he's wearing a white suit and a fur coat. Yeah, I'm not crazy about fur coats, but with the white suit and the hat it reminded me of the movie, The Great Gatsby. I couldn't resist making an icon or two.
Versus Channel had highlights of the one-day Milan-San Remo race through narrow. winding streets down to a sprint finish. The crashes! Yikes! So many of them and racers went down hard as a light rain made the roads slick. Team Discovery lost Ivan Basso early on. He injured his wrist in a previous race and must've been hurting. The team didn't lose a step, though, and quietly went about the business of getting their sprinter Allan Davis first over the finish line. While Oscar Freire took the win, Allan came in second just a heartbeat before QuickStep's Tom Boonen. It came down to a photo-finish. It was that close!
I've been writing. Working through my doubts and fears and insecurities. It helped to start handwriting in my notebook journal. I got away from it when work went into overload and LJ was easier. There's something about physically writing words on paper that really nourishes me. I have to make time every day to do that. I guess it's because writing is part of my thinking process. And I'm a tactile person. I need to touch things, to feel them. Writing things out longhand gives me time to think as I write. My mind can slow down and see things with a broader perspective. I see things more clearly when I write them out by hand. :-)
