LJ Has Changed A Lot
I haven't been around here much over the last couple of years. LJ has changed a lot. I'm glad it is thriving, but I kind of miss the old days.
These days I spend time on Facebook to stay in touch with family and friends.
I am on Twitter and liked it when I first started, but it got to be too much. One day away and there would be 200 tweets that I missed.
And you won't find me checking Facebook or tweeting while I'm in the bathroom. There is nothing so urgent that can't wait until I'm done in there. Ninety-nine percent of the time it's not something I can do anything about anyway.
Changes are happening in my life, too. I'm stepping back from my union work and campus committees to focus on finishing my bachelor's degree. I've put it off for over 20 years, and I'm not getting any younger. Now is the time. I've been admitted to the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University beginning this fall. And Hutchins has welcomed me with open arms. I am very excited about it!
