It was a beautiful day.
My friend, Mira, and I went to a movie house to see the broadcast of a live production of a National Theatre of London play on the big screen. Yes, it sounds odd. And we weren't sure it would really work. The play was The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night-Time. We loved the whole experience! The story was compelling. The cast was superb. And the staging was fun and clever. We agreed we must do that again.
We had lunch at a little place called East-West Cafe. The lamb shish kabob was delicious.
We browsed through Copperfield's Books and popped into a little shop called Milk & Honey.
I've been following Paulo Coehlo on Twitter. Not sure how that came about, but he's tweeted quotes from his book Aleph and I am intrigued by it. I picked up a copy and a book Mira recommended called Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.
It's been a few months since I last visited LJ. Things haven't changed that much, and I quite appreciate that. So much changes so quickly these days I sometimes feel adrift and unsure which way to turn. LJ is like home. I can come back anytime and my room will be just the way I left it.
I can get so caught up in the madness that I forget to take the time to be still and to reflect. I must do it, schedule it, actually put it on my calendar.
