Latonia Part 1,302

things are going better up in Laton.
working with the kids was really grounding, once we began the sculpture process.
they are the strangest kids i've ever met, and i am beyond honored to be doing this with them.
i am leaving friday and will be in laton for 8 or 9 days straight, for the final push.
then on the spring equinox, march 21, we will have our celebration, "Reunion."
i'm totally excited. i think it's going to be great, and intense, and really, really, really rewarding for everyone.

my newest idea is to spend the summer in new york city, making money in a teaching art thing if possible, and hanging out with friends. i'm really excited about this possibility. i'll have a place to stay cheaply, and i'm looking forward to undergoing a sort of opposite city experience of los angeles, where the phrase "hot time, summer in the city" came from, riding the subway and checking out the scene. i will hopefully be able to set up a public art internship there for the summer that will fulfill my program requirements and kickstart the thesis part of this thing.

i wanted to bring some light to the last journal entry i wrote, which was written from a difficult place.
difficult it has been, but that thing is just within reach now, and i am feeling energized and thankful it is coming around to the kind of conclusion we have all been working so hard and abstractly for all these months.

love, faith
