I don't come across good 8059 fic too much these days, but these drabbles are beautifully written and packed with raw emotion even though they just depict short scenes instead of full-blown stories. I especially loved the drabbles where they try and fail at sex, Yamamoto's coma, and Hayato gradually falling apart as the Vongola goes from success to success. The scene where Yamamoto tries to make the perfect gnocchi made me grin like mad.
My only quibble with this excellent fic would be 80 and 59's names at the genderbend drabbles. I've yet to encounter a Japanese girl's name ending in -ta (most end in -ko, -mi, -ri, -ka, -na), so "Hayata" made me wince just a bit. Of course, it's really hard to find a feminine equivalent of Hayato, and I'm not sure "Hayako" will cut it (Ayako sounds nicer, but harder to associate with Hayato-chan. Since Takeshi is definitely a masculine name, I think changing it to Takako or something similar would be more appropriate. But these minor issues aside, I enjoyed reading these ficlets, so feel free to disregard my nitpicking. Hope you write more 8059 in the future.

@genderbend names: So you know the moment when you realize you put something in, knowing you're going to change it later... only to forget and post it without the revisions? Yeaaaaaaaaaaah. I knew they were wrong and even wrote them in so that my spell check would flash them. /sigh. The things I let through! Thank you for pointing that out, and even go further and offer suggestions! That saved me a TON of time. :) I went with Hayako/Takami, because it sounded the best together and the most similar to their original names (to my ears, at least). So yeah. NITPICKING IS AWESOMEST THING EVER ♥.

@everything else: There's one thing I love, and it's definitely making scenes in very small spaces... in my writing, that is. I haven't been able to write much for 8059 because I keep getting dragged down by longer stories. Drabbles definitely help me focus in on one thing so I can get it done and move on.

And I totally understand what you mean about 8059 fiction. But then again, I prefer angsty/dark in my OTP, which is surprisingly rare for a ship that deserves it so. I'll try and write some more soon, but with all my projects, it might take me a while!
