Needed

Author: fallen-angel-of-repression
Series: Naruto
Pairing: Kakashi/Iruka
Genre: Romance/Drama
Word Count: 300
Progress: Complete.
Notes: T. Non-AU, but no spoilers. One-shot. Inadmissible for kakairu100's weekly challenge, as if is obviously late, but I liked the prompt too much to not write something. Dialogue heavy (for me, at least). (Edit: Stop! Go read the expanded version, o0o-faor-o0o.livejournal.com/4424.html for it is much better!)

Summary: Companionship was something Iruka wants, but if not, a little revenge could force Kakashi's hand.

Iruka accepted the other's clumsy tongue without a trill of hesitation. Iruka knew that this man-Katsu (or was it Katsumi?)-was not the pick of the litter, but he would do for the night... He had to. There had to be someone else; someone who was not-

A resounding pound against the front door cause both men to jump. Katsu(mi) growled and pointed a finger toward the noise. Iruka frowned at the silent command, but stood up anyway.

Iruka tossed open the door. "This had better be good, because if it's-Oh."

"Sorry for the interruption, Umino-sensei, but you are needed. I cannot say why with Kazuki-sensei"-Iruka was way off with the blond's name-"here, so if you just-"

"No."

Impassive, Kakashi muttered, "But you are needed."

"No."

Kat-err, Kazuki appeared by Iruka's side. "Go, but come by tomorrow, same time."

Kakashi's firm voice cut off Iruka's response. "Umino-sensei. We must leave."

The fair-haired man grabbed Iruka and teleported them to an alleyway next to Kazuki's apartment complex. Once there, Kakashi slammed Iruka into a brick wall, trapping the schoolteacher with his body.

Kakashi whispered, something reminiscent of pain etched into his voice, "Why?"

"For revenge." Kakashi shivered. "You come into my room every night, crawl into my bed and expect sex, which you always get; but I still know nothing about who you really are. I want more than this mess one might be tempted to call a relationship. So, since you hurt me by not-not loving me, why shouldn't I find companionship elsewhere?"

"Silly chuunin," the ex-ANBU hissed. "I've loved you since we've met."

And for the second time that night, Iruka accepted a man's tongue into his mouth. Only this time, Iruka felt more satisfied. And loved.
