We're finally all moved into the house. We're not even close to being halfway unpacked though. I've realized, though I complained heartily about it at the time, that the apartment did provide a lot of storage for us. We had these built in shelves that spanned the length of the upstairs, basically. So that's where our DVDs, video games, action figures, cooking accessories, etc., all went. Now? We've got about 10 boxes sitting in one half of our living room (the other half is still a kitchen; don't ask).

It's really weird being a home owner. Every time something creaks or I see a crack in the wall, I'm automatically imagining how much it's going to cost to fix. At the same time, when I walk into the house after coming home from work, it's immensely satisfying to think that this whole place is ours and we can do whatever we want with it. Of course, I'm sure when the house was built all these years ago, they didn't expect a punk band to be practicing in the big front room. Or for a poker room to be in what was undoubtedly a dining room. Hee.
