I know I should feel bad for tormenting the cat by putting ridiculous head-wear on him, but c'mon: how funny is this picture?

Today I'm totally antsy and don't feel like doing anything. Which, of course, is the trend lately, but today it's just because I want it to be the weekend already and then it will be Christmas! I realize that time doesn't quite work that way, so it will really be three more days until it's actually Christmas, but it's all gravy once I'm not at work.

It should be noted that Dave and I are horrible gifters; we always start out with the best intentions and start talking about what to get people weeks before Christmas. Then, the week before Christmas, we're like "omgwtf, we have to get PRESENTS! let's go shopping NOW AND NOT STOP UNTIL WE'RE DONE!" That can be tiring. Which then leads to us being over-tired. Which then leads to conversations had in bed about me choking to death in my sleep on goo. Don't ask; it's better that way. On the bright side, we did get everyone nice gifts this year. Oh, and I got Dave the Dagon figure, but don't tell him! [Hee, I'm kidding! Seriously.]

Also? There are a billion and two gifts for me under the Christmas tree and I have no idea what they are! Well, except for one, but blame that on the mailman, not me! I am one of those annoying people [no, really] that likes to try and figure out everything they're getting before they actually, you know, get it. I don't know why, I just do. But this year? I got nothin'. As always though, I'm almost more excited to give Dave his gifts than to open mine.

Tonight we're having a little pre-Christmas get-together with our close friends. It'll be nice to see everyone, give them their gifts, and just hang out before the holiday. We've been really lucky this year, as we've had some really awesome people come into our lives, that we will most definitely continue to see after the movie is completed. It's also brought one of my older friends back into the picture and that makes me really happy as well.

Dave reminded me yesterday that I've been totally remiss in my Christmas-special viewing this year, and haven't watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas yet, so I will have to watch that this weekend. I did, however, already watch my other favorite - Year Without a Santa Claus. Although I did boycott the live action version because there's no way I could tolerate Harvey Fierstein as the Heat Miser.

And now....

Our tree! The picture is a little dark, but that's okay. YOU GET THE POINT.

My precious cat. Yes, I did get under the tree to take this picture. Don't judge.

My two little Santas. Aww.

You can probably expect more pictures post-Christmas. Sorry! :-D

pictures, christmas
