Mello Mello Liverpool

'Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; drink it in ’cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow'. - Grey's Anatomy
"There is beauty in everything but not everyone sees it." -Confucious

Mello Mello really does live up to it's name;
a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Liverpool city centre, by day it exudes an atmosphere of calm and relaxation with an eclectic mix of Jazz and Blues setting the mood.
The entire set up of the place is a mix-match of paraphernalia; odd sofas and chairs, stacks of board-games, a type writer and a piano. With tea-cups glued to the wall, it seems very Alice in Wonderland, except it's you that's tumbled down the hole into someone's colourful quirky living-room. It's somewhere you could sit for hours on end with friends or reading a good book, with an impressive selection of teas, coffees and vegetarian/vegan food, there's more than enough to keep you happy. I was shocked to find that a cup of tea was only 70p!
It's an independent, eco-friendly, hippie place with appeal for free-spirits, students and travellers alike with just as original staff as customers- all of whom are volunteers.
By night it's also a great place to go to get involved in the local music scene boasting regular poetry evenings, gigs and art events. All the alcoholic beverages are organic and it seems that this is much more than a cafe, it's a community.
