a question and a mini-review

What are you reading?
I'm reading Silence, by Michelle Sagara (aka Michelle West), her first YA novel, and am very impressed. I'm thoroughly tired of YA love triangles, but the 2 male leads in school uniform are being helpful and un-idiotic, and the female lead is grieving her late boyfriend and not interested in romance. I would say anyone who likes Sagara's Chronicles of Elantra (the Cast In... series) would like this one just as if it were a regular fantasy novel.
