What I've Been Up To...
So...um yeah. I haven't posted here since February...my bad. The truth is I've been busy with real life (aka WORK) and my book blog and the Twilight Read Along Blog. I just finished with New Moon for those curious as to where I've gotten.
As for fics...the deal with Alliance is that it's going to be massively updated when I'm completely done with it. My deadline for being completely done with it is the end of August at the latest. So the last nine or so chapters will all be posted at once. Then I will finish up Down the Rabbit Hole and then I think I'm pretty much done with fanfiction. Before you all start howling, let me say I'm not done with WRITING. I'm just not as interested in fanfiction anymore. What has been drawing my attention away from fanfiction is writing my own fiction. Yes, original fiction.
I've been jumping around with ideas on what I wanted to do and I've finally settled on a big epic fantasy thing that may be like five books...or three...it'll depend on the story, I'm still working on the details. It's going to be a mix of slash and het and while there is romance that's not the main focus of it. The main focus is the character interaction and seeing how they deal with each other and a war of some kind (still working on that part so I'm not sure yet). More details will be given as I write it. You may also get some of the fun links I do as I research. I'm giving the first one now. So I'm working on naming my characters this week along with personality traits and all that...in choosing names for them I've come across this site: Name Meanings.com. I find it ironic that apparently my name means christ bearer. Anyone whose read this blog regularly probably has figured out that I'm not what you would call religious....
As for fangirl stuff...I'm still fangirling hard over Castle, Glee, Project Runway, and Dancing with the Stars. Yes, I watched the final episode of Ugly Betty last night and yes I was squeeing over the Daniel/Betty moments. My Mom didn't believe they would actually put it in there, should have bet money on it...Project Runway wise I'm all about Emilio though I wouldn't mind if Seth Aaron won. Yes, Emilio is kind of smug but he's no where NEAR the past egos we've seen on the show I'm not going to name names but...Santino, Jeffrey, Christian (but he admits that he's got an ego and tries to keep himself under control at least and isn't rude about it) and in this season Mila. I'll be honest I DO NOT LIKE Mila. All she does is color blocking and it's usually black and white. She's a one trick pony. A bitchy one trick pony. As for Glee...SO glad it's back and I can not wait for the Madonna episode. That is going to be EPIC Gleeness. One complaint: have Amber Riley sing more songs please. I know the girl who plays Rachel has a hell of a voice but guess what, so does she and all the other members of the show. Could you let Tina sing? Or Artie? Or how about Mike? Have we even heard him say one piece of dialogue?
Movie wise: have seen Percy Jackson, Alice in Wonderland, and How to Train Your Dragon so far. Percy Jackson was okay but I was a little pissed at all the changes they made. LOVED Alice in Wonderland, mostly for the artisry and the costumes though. I admit that storywise...it wasn't that surprising but I did like what they did with it. I also utterly ADORED How to Train Your Dragon. Beautiful animation and storyline and characters. Urge everyone to see it.
