I'm really trying to love this show and I admit, the whole idea of it and the way they are going about it is kind of brilliant. But...I don't love it. At least not the amount of love I have for Heroes or Castle. I don't know why either. I mean it is interesting and the acting is pretty good but honestly? Not my all time favorite show. Don't hate it, but don't love it either. It's just turned into something I watch to pass the time until Project Runway comes on.
BOOK REVIEW
TITLE:Dead Girl Walking, first book in the Dead Girl series
AUTHOR: Linda Joy Singleton
GENRE: Young adult, Paranormal
PREMISE: Amber Borden has a near death experience and ends up in limbo, so to speak. But no worries, she just has to get back to her body and she'll be okay. Too bad she has a lousy sense of direction and finds herself waking up instead in the body of the most popular girl in school who just tried to kill herself. Opps.
MY REVIEW: I have lukewarm feelings about this book. I did enjoy it but it wasn't all together spectacular mostly because the explanations just seemed a bit thin too me. But I did like Amber and I like that the author strayed away from the stereotypes that we often get in YA books. She also was not afraid to talk about issues like suicide and alcholism. So it was a decent enough book, just not one I would say go out and buy immediately.
MY RATING: Three out Five lost teenage ghosts.
