I obviously did not finish Alliance last Monday. I got to a certain part and then drew a blank where I sat and stared at the screen for twenty minutes. Plus I was distracted by Jon Stewert on the TV. That man is hysterical, it's hard to write about a serious situation when you're cracking up. I've learned my lesson though: no Jon or Colbert while writing. Get too distracted by the funny.
I did get some writing done Friday but then we had to go shopping and I bought a Animal Crossing on the DS because I no longer have time to play on my Wii (looks sadly at it) but I have no problem with my DS because it's so portable and easy to turn on and off. I'm still debating if I want the new one.
I also rented Race to Witch Mountain. It was...okay. Nothing spectacular, but not complete crap. It was what it was. If you've seen the orignal like I have, as well as that tv remake in the nineties that stared that guy from the Princess Diaries who played Josh(whose name escapes me but I had a major crush on him back in the day, he also played Clue in my favorite Disney Channel series So Weird. God I miss that show...). Where was I? Oh yeah, if you've seen these (and lets not forget Return to Witch Mountain as well) the movie is worth a view if only to compare. There some funny moments (I LOVED the Dali Lama line...) and great action although I have to say, that taxi held up remarkably well considering stuff, but honestly it was just ho hum. Take it or leave it. Great movie for families to watch though.
Speaking of movies am I the only one DYING to see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland? It looks AWESOME! Plus, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter is too perfect. Even if I am kind of tired of the Burton/Depp team up. I'm also kind of looking forward to Fame. I was skeptical at first (especially considering Kelsey Grammer is in it, I mean really, WTF?) but the trailer makes it look like fun and not total crap. If nothing else the music will be awesome, at least from what I heard in the trailer. Damn, that girl can sing. I also really, really, REALLY want to see Julia and Julie because Meryl Streep is awesome and I love anything she's in. Plus, it looks like an entire movie devoted to food and how could you not love that? I bet it'll be like food porn ;drools;
I've actually got time off so hopefully I'll get chapter done this week.
