Happy Valentine's Day
Well, Happy Valentines Day. As I've said many times, I don't actually believe in the so-called holiday so I'm not a big fan of it. But I know a lot of people invest time into it so I hope it was all worth it for you. For those who are new to this journal, the reason I don't believe in it is NOT because I'm single (though that does put a damper on things) it is because I believe you should tell people you love that you love them everyday, not just dedicate a whole day to it. Plus I think it's unfair how it kind of rubs it in to the singles that they don't have a significant other and puts unfair pressure on spouses (particularly men) to show off affection in a unique way that maybe they don't have money or time for.
Personally, if a guy got me a rose or a simple piece of chocolate and told me he loved me, I would be satisfied. I don't like fancy restaurants (take me to a sports bar any day), I don't need expensive jewlery (I barely wear jewlery anyway), and flowers die easily (particularly under my care) so really what would be the point? But evidently, I am one of the few girls who feels this way. Whatever.
So Happy Valentines Day. Excuse me while I go off and watch Spiderman (hey, it has SOME romance...).
