It's not silver, it's the flash shining off of black electrical tape.... which is showing another angle of a light source (ye ol' photoshoppe goodness).

In my mispent youth, I've put a lot of tape on furry critters (don't ask) but rest assured, fur is different from hair, it's often got several layers and while some is pulled out, it's not nearly as much as you might think and you can't tell where it was afterwards.

Not that this beast had any tape on it.
