So I was playing World of Warcraft this evening (big surprise there) while my roommate was casually watching the T.V., and noticed after a few minutes that it was Ms. Garrison exercising at Curves.
My interest piqued, and so I took off my headphones. Forgot at first it was Wednesday night, so it was definitely a new one. New, and poking fun at 300. Yes, the fabled semi-naked Spartan epic served as prey to the parody in this particular episode...except instead of hot Spartans, there were angry bull dyke lesbians...and Ms Garrison. The Persians remained the same. Well, with a little more gay, and a lot nicer clothing. (Hence the gay)
The plot revolved around Ms. Garrison shortly after unearthing her secret and all-too-sudden feelings for women, and the quest to keep a lesbian bar in business.
"Lesbos," after falling under proverbial attack by the Persian buyers, prompts newly outed Ms. Garrison to take up the mantle of the Defender of the Lesbians. Instead of a long winding pass where the Spartans bottleneck the Persians however, there is simply "Lesbos." And epic battle between Persians and Lesbians. XD XD
Good times.
Favorite Moment?
Persian Man:"This is insane!"
Ms. Garrison:"No. This...is...LESBOS!"
::Followed by slow motion ball-shattering kick to the nuts::
Which is then followed by all the lurching slow motion emulation of the movie's unique style, including wacky slow motion coffee making, phone dialing, and eventually a painfully real-time crescendo with a very...confused Xerxes. I turned off the T.V. mildly scarred. Scissoring is...um...yeah. >_<
Even so, I'm reminded all the time why I love the zany antics on this show. Culture deserves to be parodied.
Goodnight. ;)
