fffff firstly oh god that cover is beautiful. It is... slightly disturbing, too, ahaha but who can hate the creativity in that. POOR AFRO, THOUGH.
and hhhhhhnnnnnnnghajsflsdjfsdlkfd COLORSPREAD SO AWESOME. I agree with it, baby, cuts like a knife. And on not a tangent exactly, I really like Usopp's. 8|

But I dunno, the colorful colors with the pellets and Pop Greens and just Mansopp colored in general I always love to death. SO ORANGE, GOGGLES. I've a theory on the nature of his orange goggles, but until I can actually prove it I'm more than happy to just be happy with the amazing colorful colors. And. I kind of love the close-up on his fingers. Don't look at me, I just get fond of characters' hands. I think they're my favorite physical characteristic to consider for the ones I play.
Apart from Usopp, I think I'm digging Sanji's part of the colorspread in particular. FIIIIREEEEEEEEE.
ON TO THE CHAPTER, RIGHT? Right. ohgod poor citizens ;A; Otohimeeeeeeeee. ;A;
And you know it's weird, even with all that goes down this chapter (just getting this out there now)... I'm still wondering exactly where Koala is these days. I'm just waiting to find out.
Back to the point, Otohime's picture, no, ohgod. Also Hody is damn ugly, and so is his brood. And- Neptune, oh, poor Neptune. Can I just be honest and say I freaking love that character? He's such a great guy, and he lost his wife and his kids are all who-knows-where and he's all defeated and cares about everyone and I love him. He looks so sorry. :(
In other news, Nami can indeed blame Zoro for everything. 8|
And Hody is even more of a bastard than before for the notes, I HOPE HIS ASS-KICKING FROM LUFFY IS EPIC. alternatively, I wish it could be Bellamy-short, but I suppose that wouldn't make much of a climax for the arc.
THEN DANI LOL'D AT POOR LANKY BROOK TRAPPED IN THAT SHORT-ASS CAGE. Must be so hard to fit in there with all that manliness, and with Zoro, too. Zoro who looks really pissed off. I imagine he is. Two years training with the man he must kill someday, getting all badass, and now he's in a cage left to slowly face his own drowning. OH WELL, AT LEAST HE HAS HIS FRIENDS. His fellow crew-swordsman and his fellow manly man with a tan, BroSopp. Who also looks a little pissed, for that first shot.
Poor Zoro, he must be wondering why he keeps ending up crammed into small spaces with two crewmates at a time.
Kind of wondering about that panel focusing on Keimi, when she doesn't get anything else in the chapter. Guess we'll see what comes of it. In the meantime, HELLO THERE RAISED BOUNTY, PLEASURE TO MAKE YOUR ACQUAINTANCE.

We return to our manly caged men! AND THE ELUSIVE "-KUN NOW THAT WE ARE IN DANGER" REAPPEARS. It. Doesn't work. And LOL, Brook is adorable and so freaking happy. I DON'T CARE IF IT GOT EVERYONE CAPTURED, BROOK, YOU HAVE ALL THE FUN YOU WANNA HAVE.
...and. Just. God bless you, Oda, for keeping Usopp generally Usopp. I WILL BE PUTTING MY FANGIRLING HERE. STILL SHRIEKING. STILL ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE. STILL DOING IMPRESSIONS.

ohgod he is so boss at Robin impressions isn't he? AND GOOD MAN FOR HAVING A SENSE OF HUMOR, AFRO-BRO. I just. I love so much that they're still the characters they were, just given growing room with the timeskip. I love them just as much as I did before, and things are only looking to get better.
A+ segue, by the way, Oda. And now I will also forever wonder who "Joy Boy" is, too. goddamn.
THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR BEING IN AWE OF THE UPPED BOUNTY, NAMI AND SANJI. ALWAYS. Because he's Luffy. I am glad for Jinbei and his voice-of-reason, really. It's a good thing. But ohoho, nothing tops the little Luffy-Sanji high five. So precious. And DAMN if I don't love page 20. It is his crew, Jinbei *____* do not fuck with the crew.
So I kinda can't wait for the next chapter. But I also don't want the arc to end because I want Jinbei to stick around longer :< HE SIMPLY HAS TO, OKAY, HE'S AWESOME. So clearly he must join the crew for some reason now that he's given all this flashback, or they must stay on this island for all eternity.
tl;dr, I do like this chapter and would like another plz. now I guess I should finish those why-I-love-such and such tl;drs in that one entry. :|a
