Just going to say this: if that was "not a lot" many of us are total slackers.
The academic job market plus the election is a one-two punch that would have anyone reeling. (It took me *five years* to not be an adjunct anymore, and I still wake up in the morning delighted every day to be doing what I'm doing now . . . )
Definitely see about getting a prescription. When I was depressed, I combined talk therapy with meds, and was more suspicious of meds, but my partner does meds with just the check-ins with the psychiatrist, and it . . . probably works as well as it would in any case . . .
I was gonna revise that first line after doing the review because, yeah, haha, I just forgot, because, well... a lot of this year is characterized by my forgetting things, which is why I keep a journal!!
