Clairifying the Posting Process
So after a few emails I realised I was not very clear on my previous post as to what is expected of you, and if this is your first Big Bang/first time participating in fantasybigbang, you might be a bit confused~ (I know I was during the first round last year ohman)
On July 25th: A post will go up listing August 1st -- August 15th with dates available for posting. It will end up looking something like this.
Authors: When the time comes, you will comment on that post with a date that you wish to post your story. If you know you'll be done on time, and your artists are wrapping up, then please claim one of the earlier dates. Email your artists to see what their progress is! If you don't sign up by August 1st, I will automatically assign you a date at random and email you to let you know. So get there early and claim a good spot!
Artists: Once you are finished, email your authors with a link to where you have posted/hosted your art/mix. If you need more time, email your authors to ask them to claim a later date (I haven't been keeping close tabs on which authors are working with which artists because I'm working with quite a handful myself).
On August 1st: The person that signed up for August 1st will make their post! THE AUTHOR ONLY WILL BE MAKING THE POST (unless otherwise having asked their artist or a mod to do it for them). The posts will end up looking something like this, with a link to your story as well as your art and/or mix.
In addition: ART, MIXES, AND STORIES MUST REMAIN PRIVATE UNTIL YOUR POSTING DATE! This means you can only share your things with the people in your circle (the artists, mixers, and authors) as well as if you have a Beta. On LJ, it is easier to make the posts early and then mark them as only you can see, but on external sites that is a bit more difficult. So, if you're posting them on LJ, please make sure they're marked "private" for your eyes only. Still email the link to the people in your circle, even if they can't see it, because the day you post it will be turned to public. If you're not uploading to DA, then just hold off on posting them until the claimed date!
