(no subject)
This hurricane business is really getting to me. It makes me sad that natural disasters, such as this and the sunamies, happen, yet people still want to attack other countries. We have enough death and grief without the terroists and murders and everybody. I can't wait for suffering to end.
My US government class (which I LOVE by the way) is doing a fund raiser for the Hurricane victums. On friday, there was a football game and a dance, and we set up some buckets for people to put there change and donations in. My teacher told me today (he happens to go to the same church I do) that we were able to rais $30 with just those two activities! I'm very excited. I know that is not a whole lot, but we can get more. On Tuesday, my friend Megan and I get to sit at lunch and collect money then. I'm excited. I hope we get a lot.
Utah is one of four states that Louisiana has asked to host victums in their houses. We are thinking of doing it. I hope we do, cuz I really feel useless at helping in this sad time.
On a completely different note, we are still thinking of coming down to California for their homecoming. I really hope we do. I havent been down since December. Oh, actually it was febuary, but that was just to go to the airport and fly to Mexico. And I only stayed one night with Karen, but that was totally fun. I miss you!
Only 168 more school days until I graduate!!!
