Writer's Block: Solo traveler
Yes, I do find it very difficult to open up to people. I have always been this way and very likely will not change. When I was child and got angry with someone, I would well up with tears. No matter how I fought against this tendency, and tried to speak or defend myself, I could never get past the tearful lump in my throat. Observers would be very amused. Eventually, I just made sure that I would never be in such a position again. As there are no friendships without some conflict, I have done pretty much without. Luckily, I have a large family and "at work" friendships so I'm not completely alone.
