Week 1 as hermit.
hehehe.
SO, yesterday, I bought a camera online. NO, my current camera did not die. BUT, there are reasons for my buying another one.
1) my olympus is bulky...no way does it fit in my clutch...and takes up like half my purse (I don't carry large ones).
2) the video has no sound (for some WEIRD reason they did not put one in, what the heck?!) but it makes up for this with the 10x optical zoom (amazing!)
3) i want to take pictures a lot (and other reasons related to this, and related to reason #1)
OK, so now on to the camera itself...it hasn't arrived yet. It is REFURBISHED (which makes it less expensive and i bought a 2 yr replacement plan aka if for some reason it malfunctions at the fault of itself and not because i drop it...)...pictures of what it WILL look like...this Sony Cybershot dsc-t70 in White. (side note: my sony vaio is also white...and now the cybershot will be too...notice a trend? but my, they're pretty...i plan on adding white speakers for my laptop after some time...but for now I really should stop spending my money! esp. since I want to go to Tibet next summer...dangit, what is wrong with me?!)

Now, on to why I will be a hermit. Dad leaves for London and Egypt on saturday for 10 days...because I have a baby brother, I need to be home to help out as he is very rambunctious, high maintenance, high-energy, and mischevious. In a way I could see this situation negatively and say that I'm on "house arrest" but instead, I am going to look at it positively and I really think it is a good thing!
1) I will get to relax for the most part, get to have time to myself (something everybody needs and something I haven't gotten in a long time)
2) spend time with my baby brother, especially since once school starts I will have very minimal time...veryyy minimal...
3) hopefully get stuff done at home!
4) maybe get some reading in?? Ali is supposed to lemme borrow this book this week...
hehehe.
I really should go back to studying. yup.
I say once my camera (and the 2G memory stick I ordered) arrives I will take pictures, and post them. Hopefully, I do not forget...I probably Won't? I say this because I'll have ample time. YES. Taking advantage of this anticipated "laziness" because once school starts, my schedule is gonna go KABOOM! and go nuts.
