I put the word "pimp" into Thesaurus.com... It only returned synonyms for the noun. LOL Anticipated? Yes, but still amusing. As much as I depend upon that site and thesauruses (thesauri?) in general, they utterly fail in the contemporary usages department.

ANYway, this post is all about sharing and promoting stuffs on the interwebz.

Firstly, yappichick will be hosting a Virtual Live Journal Potluck on September 5: we'll be sharing recipes on that day in a post on her journal. The rules are simple, so head over and sign up to "bring" something! The more people who participate, the more fun it will be! :D

[Pro-Choice peeps skip this; it's just a link to some icons I made on request.]Secondly, I made some Anti-Planned Parenthood/LJ Icons to fill a request. There is a story behind these. They're posted at therightfangirl, not on my journal, on purpose, but I still need a link to keep track of my stuff.

Check them out or ignore this part as you will; just know that my moratorium on debating the subject of abortion with friends is still in effect. I will not respond to any comments for or against abortion/choice. I can't control myself very well on the issue, and it's not worth upsetting or losing a friend over a belief neither of us would have ever changed to begin with.

Nextly, a fix for iPhone users!

Don't you HATE it when someone sends you the link for a YouTube video on your iPhone, and you click on it to find out that it doesn't work? Well, I finally Googled the issue and stumbled upon a work around: m.youtube.com

Yeah, it's not new at all. However, most of the iPhone users I know in RL, including myself, didn't know we could use this link to watch YouTube videos via QuickTime instead of the irritating YouTube app. The app usually works pretty well, but when it doesn't... Anyway, I've replaced my YouTube app with a link on my homepage to the mobile address. Just thought I'd share my discovery with y'all!

Lastly, Coheed & Cambria's new song/video: Domino: The Destitute.

The video started, and I first thought that this was one of their lackluster songs, but then it was 8 minutes long, so I knew they were gonna do something awesome. Oh how awesome it got! Just listening to this song doesn't give you the full effect; you've gotta watch the video. You get to the end, and you're all like, "Whoa. ... Bro-dom!"

Warnings about the vid: it contains adult themes of violence and drug use and the consequences thereof.

The music is clean, though. And headbangingly amazing! And Claudio Sanchez's hands on a guitar. Hee... He makes some pretty creepy/funny faces in this thing. He's got to be one of the few people on the planet that can totally rock that explosive hairstyle! October 9, come quickly!
