I think the complainers are people who, for one reason or another, never got how to use AL. There's definitely a learning curve. One of the funnest faceoffs in the game is when you run into someone else who also has AL. It's like a weird little dance you do, dependent upon milliseconds and trained reaction.

The tag is the same for cuts, too. The only difference is that instead of spoiler, you write "cut" instead. :)

When you're making a post that's not too complicated, switch over to HTML mode and check out the HTML bits. Also, if you're ever curious about how someone coded something, copy the questionable bit, then open the "Post to Journal" link and paste that bit on Rich Text mode. Then, just switch to HTML mode, and you'll be able to see what it is that they did. That's pretty much how I picked up most of the tags. :)
