Obligatory E3 Post
I got to watch the Microsoft E3 Press Conference before going to work today. So. much. GLEE! I'm saving the best for last, but these are the things that excited me the most.
Sports on X-Box = WIN! They're adding NBA, NHL, and ESPN to the line up. We'll be able to watch football games via X-Box in HD! Eee! And considering all the social stuff that XBL essentially is, watching games could become a lot more epic! Plus it will all be integrated with SmartGlass!
South Park: The Stick of Truth - Dude, it's gonna be so sweet, you guys! Though make sure any little ones are out of the room if you choose to watch the video... :/
COD Black Ops 2 - The story actually sounds pretty interesting. Admittedly, I never cared for the campaign of Black Ops, but this what-if, reminiscent of the what-if of Gundam Wing, has lots of promise: What if war did become fully mechanized...? I'm not sold on purchasing it, because I far prefer the Modern Warfare series, but I just may rent it. But speaking of Modern Warfare, I think they tied the two COD 'verses together with this game...! So maybe I do need it!
X-Box SmartGlass - I am ridiculously excited about this new XBL feature, or more importantly, its potential. SmartGlass will tie the X-Box, your tablets, and smartphones to your X-Box experience. It's crazy awesome! Also, Internet Explorer is coming to X-Box! Could they have chosen a better browser? Of course, but they're Microsoft, so it's completely expected. I'm just stoked that internet browsing, real internet browsing, will be able to be enjoyed from the comfort of the front room on the biggest screen in the house! Mostly though, it's the gameplay that I'm excited about...
And now, the best part: Halo 4! BEHOLD! The E3 trailer PLUS campaign play! *becomes a helpless puddle of happy goo*
THE BR!! It's beautiful! New forerunner alien technology/bad guys! IT'S A FORERUNNER DMR! XD Chief & Cortana! The Infinity crashes on the planet, taken over by unknown hostiles! Reclaimer! NEW WEAPONS AND ALIENS! AHHHH! I thought I could speak coherently about this, but I just can't. IS IT NOVEMBER YET?!
Also, I just read that Crysis 3 has a February 2013 confirmed release date: YUS!!!
