Almost Died, I love Danae & Sunday Drives
Friday
Got home from work around 5:30. Was a bit hungry and since Anthony was working late I decided that I would see if our Neighbors wanted to go out to dinner. Around 7:30 I hadn't heard anything from them so I decided to eat. Mmm Mmm Chinese Food. Anthony finally showed up around Midnight but I was fast asleep.
Saturday
Got up around 6AM, let the dog out and started to watch a movie... Woke back up around 8AM and decided to see if Anthony wanted to go shopping. It was raining outside at the time but we said WTF and headed out anyway. (our house sits on the top of what is known as Watchung Mt. Range in NJ)
Anyway, as we were about to enter onto the Highway off the ramp we notice a car out of control going about 60mph.... swerving past our car... just barley missing us and the person in front of us... oh and she was facing the wrong way... she then slammed into the Guard Rail. We stopped our car as did the person before us that she almost hit. I ran to her car to see if she was ok, but she was on her cell phone and wouldn't roll down her window. CRAZY! I felt so bad for her. We stayed until the cop showed up. Crazy thing was is that person in front of us never got out of there car either. Guess they must have been in shock too... but she came REAL close to smacking right into them.
The sad news is that when Anthony and I got to our first store he got a call from work (he was on-call the entire weekend) and we had to come home so he could fix the problem from his computer.
Of course the rain stopped when we got home. *doh
The best part of the day is when I went to retrieve the mail. There inside our mailbox was a package from my friend Jennifer in Boston. She mentioned a few weeks ago that she purchased something for me... but I was thinking it was some sort of candy bar, we all know how I can be with candy. Anyway, it wasn't candy it was something 10,000 times better. YOU ROCK DANAE!!! Roooock!
Sunday
Decided since we didn't get any shopping done on Saturday that we would head to Upstate NY and go to the Woodbury Common outlets... I love that place. However, you have to get there before noon or its a mess... of course we arrived 30 minuts after it opened. Bought all sorts of pretty things. We even replaced the new towels that we bought a few weeks ago (hate them!) But the new towels are nice and soft and lovely and pretty and everything a towel should be. I don't know, maybe its just me but I would say that when you wash and dry your "NEW" towels more of the towel should come out of the dryer and washer then stays in when the load is finished... which is what the "older" new towels were doing.. which is why we replaced them. We also bought some clothes and stuff... nothing major. It was a beautiful drive up the NY throughway. I spent Sunday afternoon taking some cute photos of my dog... for dinner we had chinese food..
...tonight for dinner we had left-over Chinese food... you can bet your ass that I am done with Chinese food for a very long time!
That was my weekend.. relaxing and fun! This coming weekend. NOTHING! Anthony and I checked our Calendars last week and we don't have anything planned until Christmas weekend. Who knew.
