Title Chopstick
Author
spyridonaRating This part is PG-13 due to swearing and themes (Victor/Reed, UST (?) between Victor/Sue).
Summary Sue learns to hate Chinese food.
Notes AU Movie-verse, simply put, Victor got Reed first in college. AU due to the fact that proably isn’t the background in the movie or Sue wouldn’t have worked for Victor, unless she’s very manipulative. Something I can’t see Movie!Sue pulling off.
Disclaimer Nothing belongs to me. I just play with them.
I adore John Bryne Era to current 616!Sue and I like non Millar Ulti!Sue. So Movie!Sue made me cry so I inserted the comics persona of Sue into this fic.
I'll be posting more of the Ben/Johnny fic, but Sue needed some love in this community.
She sat on one of the soft plush leather couches that were lined up along the hall ways of Empire State University’s physics department. A splash of color dressed in blue jeans, a bright teal long sleeved top that shoved a sliver of her stomach, Sue Storm made the eyes aches in contrast to the sterile black and white that surrounded her. Her eyes were too wide, her face too young, and while her full lips enticed the wandering mind, everyone could agree that she looked too young to wear the badge that hung about her neck that indicated she was among the most noted medical students in her field.
She was picking at a carton of Chinese food and while there had been a proper Chinese name for the food, Susan couldn't recall it. Stir fry beef, and some spouts and perhaps snap peas. At her feet was a large parcel with containers of rice, chicken, and seafood. It hadn't been one of the cheaper places, but one that used Styrofoam instead of paper boxes.
Sue didn't have much of an apatite, despite being ravenous just ten minutes ago. Her stomach was flipping too much and too hard to even attempt to choke down her dinner. Her face felt hot, and her body cold and numb. She barely heard the door to that office open though she heard it shut. She heard the ‘Hmm' of surprise and she looked up, smiling weakly.
"You bought dinner?" The unquestionable pleased purr was in Victor's voice, and Sue realized with sick dread this wasn’t the first time had seen the older man walk out of the physics lab looking vaguely rumpled. His navy shirt that was usually so neat was wrinkled and parted to show just a bit of the muscular chest and soft dark curls and his black tie hung loosely about his neck. "Susan, really. You shouldn't have. Prawn, my favorite." He praised, a touch of a smile to his full lips as he watched her squirm closer to her side of the couch. “Such a darling.”
It really wasn't praise, she knew it and he knew it. Praise didn't fall so easily from his mouth, praise was foreign from his purrs. And he was sitting too close, so warm, so strong. She shivered, the image of the saturnine man pummeling hard into the graceful figure of the man who she had been in love with for the past 10 years after meeting him at her aunt's boarding house would not leave her mind
Reed Richards was fucking men. Victor von Doom of all people. It made sense why her attempts with flirting fell flat, why the older student looked at her vaguely confused for a moment before giving her a nervous smile and changing the topic. And that was probably the reason why Victor had been treating her so callously after her feeble attempts at flirting.
Sue wanted put her expertise into good use, and stab Victor in the eyeball with her chopstick, straight to the brain.
But she sat in awkward silence instead.
