Josh wrote me again. he's now at his base in Afghanistan out in the middle of no where. Here's some of what he wrote me...

"I will be sending those pics when I get a chance to you and mom. I think you will appreciate it. The little girls name is Mongola, she is 4. She was hit by a car a year ago and now she was having problems walking. So I just cleaned up her very infected ulcerations to her inner portion of her knees. God she was such a little trooper about it. It almost made me wanna cry.
Last Saturday we had a 4 month old female come in with 3rd degree burns to her back and chest with 2nd degree burns to her arms and legs. Her mother was trying to keep her warm on the stove, and her blanket caught on fire. Yeah I cried after that, cause while we were treating her she just lied there and smiled at us. I will never understand certain things in this life.
Actually, if you could send some cheapy small stuffed animals or maybe even some cartoon band aid's that would be awesome. The little girls here aren't treated very well, and it's nice to be able to give them something special. I keep small bags of candy with me along with some children's band aid's, but I am running out. It really doesn't matter to them what kind, because they really have nothing."

So, if people want to help out with getting stuff for those little girls (and obviously the boys won't go unnoticed...), let me know. Please. I've got a box that I want to ship out to Josh soon. I've got some coloring books, more crayons would be nice... chocolate... like Josh said, stuffed animals... whatever. You should see the kids when the troops give them a dollar. They FREAK OUT. So...uh... yeah. Help out. Thanks.
