I haven't re-watched this episode yet, so I don't remember this touching Xander and Buffy moment. It makes a lovely icon. The two light hearted icons on either side are also charming. Willow's lip color and her hat and the word smile all matching somehow added to the sweetness.

I wasn't in the fandom in 1997-1998, but people say that in s2 Buffy/Angel/Xander triangle was debated as much as Buffy/Angel/Spike was debated afterwards. And, as I rewatch the old episodes, I can see why. Each couple has its charms. |As to Willow, I adore her in this scene - her smile is the epithome of sweetness.
