Drabbles and Icons

I have my last two Angel drabbles and icons for this season.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Angel wondered about the reports Giles sent to the Council about him. How would they would be worded, oh, by the by, I’ve met a charming vampire chap; he’s keeping us informed on the doings in the demon world. He brought me a rare book, the Codex, very hard to get hold of. Some of you may have heard of him, Angelus, brought death and destruction to the human world for a hundred years. Ring a bell? He and my Slayer have a little flirtation going. Trifle unorthodox.

On second thought, Giles probably didn’t mention him at all.

Prophecy Girl

Maybe he was born under an unlucky star. And died under one, too. Alive, he was his father’s disappointment. Dead, he was his family’s horror.

So if he, Angel, wants to help Giles it stands to reason he’ll find a book that prophesies the Slayer’s death.

And if he, Angel, finds the Slayer dead, it’s certain that she’ll need the one thing he hasn’t got: breath.

He wants redemption, hungers for it, but if he’s lost on how to earn it, if he spends long hours thinking about whether he’ll ever achieve it, if he broods, who’s to blame him?
