Episode in Focus: Crush
Guess who's back in town? Two clues: a blindfolded doll, and a train full of massacred people. Yep, it's Drusilla. Fresh from being burned out of LA and come to Sunnydale to try for another family reunion. But is Spike up for rekindling old flames? Or fanning new flames with Buffy? Or reliving his glory days through storytelling with Dawn? Or - ack - remembering that he's still with Harmony and trying some exciting new Slayer-style sex games? Well, he's kinda up for all of the above, with (oh yeah) hilarious consequences, till he finally decides where his path lies.

Key quote:
DRUSILLA: Not nice to change the game in mid-play, Spike. You've taken my chair and the music hasn't stopped.
SPIKE: Sorry, pet. My house, my rules.
DRUSILLA: I think I shall be very cross with you when I'm free again.
BUFFY: What's going on?
SPIKE: Simple. I'm gonna prove something. I love you.
Buffy closes her eyes and grimaces in disgust.
BUFFY: Oh my god.
SPIKE: No, look at me! (grabs her chin and forces her to look at him) I ... love you. (Buffy jerks her chin out of his hand) You're all I bloody think about. Dream about. You're in my gut ... my throat ... I'm drowning in you, Summers, I'm drowning in you.
Dru begins to laugh. Spike turns.
SPIKE: I can do without the laugh track, Dru.
DRUSILLA: But it's so funny. I knew ... before you did. I knew you loved the Slayer. The pixies in my head whispered it to me.

Episode in Focus: The Thin Dead Line
In which Team Angel starts to come back together, working the same case, from very different angles. We see Anne again, and Merl, and Kate - it's a reunion frenzy. With the evil dead forces of law and order patrolling the mean streets of LA, keeping the peace in a really, really unpeaceful way. Gunn finds it hard to get back into his old gang. Oh, and there are demons with eyes in the back of the head, but someone will get to them later. It's Wesley that comes off worst this week, with a non-mystical gunshot to the gut which brings some unwelcome reality to the situation.

Key quote:
Cordy: "Oh, yes, Angel Investigations, home of the wicked high creep factor."
Anne: "Angel?"
Gunn: "Oh, our company. It's named after our former boss. We're planning, uh, on changing it to the Gunn Agency..."
Cordy and Wes: "No, we're not."
Gunn: "As soon as these two narcissists come to their senses."
Anne: "But Angel, that... this isn't the guy in the long, black trench coat, is it?"
Gunn: "You know him?"
Anne: "Yeah. He tried to help me out a few weeks ago."
Gunn looks over at Cordy and Wesley. The two of them get up from the desk.
Cordy: "He did?"
Wesley: "Really?"
Cordy walks closer to Anne.
Anne: "But it turned out it was just a scam to screw this law firm."
Cordy, brightly: "Well, he hasn't changed a bit."
