Pickled walnuts? Seriously? I mean, my grandma said you could pickle anything, but that's...

Anyway! I loved the cultural exchange Christmas. Good for Dawn, asking clearly for what she wants. Excellent skill set! Stories of going to hear Dickens read puts me in mind of Doctor Who these days, but I love it!

This is fun, educational and hopeful. Go you!

Pickled walnuts are gorgeous. They pick them while they are still soft and green, brine them, which turns them black, then pickle them in sweet vinegar. Superb with pork pies and cold meat, like leftover turkey.

I checked the dates - I'm sure young William's parents took him to see Dickens read!

Thanks for reading and such a nice comment.

That was really sweet. :) Feels like a very possible moment amid the darkness of S6. Well-written.

Such a nice, sweet story!

He really did need to work harder on the whole Evil Creature of the Night thing or he’d be the laughing stock of Sunnyhell demonhood.

Heee! Oh, Spike...

Thank you! But mock not Spike's need to save face - it's serious. *g*
