"City of .." poetry

This was written for the Beta Late Than Never Review at the Bronze some time ago.



City of....

It began with a scene in a bar
Angel was looking too cute, by far
He dusted those two vamps with a neat little move
Then the music began & on the show I started to groove
Then Doyle showed up, started poking fun at Angel
He got a vision, oh wow! That'a a new angle
There was a scene with a really cute guy
But it went by so fast, I didn't blink an eye
And from out of nowhere did Cordelia appear
She was in LA to pursue an acting career
Well, Angel's first mission went horribly astray
The demon who killed the girl got away
But in the end it turned out just great
Cause running into Cordelia was just fate
She went to this older guy's house, cause she needed money
His face was stunned when she refused to be his honey
Angel showed up, saved her life, and they made an escape
Doyle was waiting, after he'd crashed into the gate
The very next day, Angel went after the vampire
He pushed him out the window, and the vamp turned into fire
Then Angel turned back to place the card into Lindsey's pocket
Whoever knew that one little pat would launch a ship as hot as a rocket?
