For socializing dogs (esp when they are puppies), you're supposed to expose them to every different thing imaginable, to show them that it's a positive thing and yay aren't men in uniforms great and tall women great and people in sunglasses great and children great etc. Well I think there is NO better place for ongoing socialization than living in San Francisco. So many examples come to mind, but none better than on this morning's walk when we ran into 8 Santas walking toward downtown (they were in the area for this: www.santacon.com). Benny got treats and can now add that to his large repitoire of things-he's-not-scared-of.

Update: In our afternoon walk, we ran into about 200 Santas streaming through our local park, stopping to chat, and sometimes going on the large moonbounce they put up. Ah SF...
