Day 1 in the Narnia Wardrobe

Well, I dusted off my old 1980's edition and breezed through the first two chapters. A splendid way to start the day! Though I dip into the Ransom trilogy from time to time, I haven't revisited Narnia for many years—I wish I'd gone back sooner. Chapter 2 seems much more sinister now. When I was of comparable age, I suppose I put my trust in Lucy's reactions: she never really seemed that fazed by Tumnus, so why should I be? Afterall, he did the right thing in the end. Still, it doesn't quite gel with the "don't talk to strangers" mantra.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to leave it for a week, but I'll try and be strong.
