I... have a strange confession but I also need help in identifying it too.
Right, so when I was little, about 6 or such, I started doing something strange. Became obsessed... And I mean OBSESSED with indentations left on the skin of other people by their rings, jewelery or just leaning on a surface too long.
It got so bad that when sitting on relatives knees I would move the rings/watches ect just so I could rub my fingertip over the indentation. Or The Mark as I'd call it.
Carpet was the best with this. Furniture would be moved ever-so-slightly just so I could sit and gently run my fingers over it. The weirder the mark left behind the better.
I could literally feel the endorphins being released and it's weird, but some of my most happiest memories are of me sitting under my grandparents kitchen table and rubbing my hand and fingers over their carpet.
The reason why I'm confessing to this is... I've started doing it again after 16 or 17 years of not noticeably doing it.
Like I'm always playing with my 21st ring on my finger, and at the moment because my hands are puffy I'm getting deep indentations that I'll run my finger across and feel 'relief, and omg so happy... It feeeeeellllllsss soooo gooooooooood."
Don't take it the wrong way, I in no way get 'off' on it nor is it a sexual fetish.
But, I'm just wondering if it has a name (apart from "You're a freak, Catherine").
So, yeah, I've just noticed that since the shit hit the fan with my nan passing away and this bloody fluid retention (and no, the kidney isn't rejecting, she's doing fine... Apparently) that, omg, even the marks left on my legs from my socks are just perfect to feel when I'm upset. But what worried me was that I caught myself moving mums rings on her fingers and she went "Jesus, bub, you haven't done that in years..."
God, I really don't need this type of crazy to fucking return in my life. It's horrible and like a deadly drug. I shouldn't do it, but it makes the world just a bit easier... Don't know how, but it just does.
Speaking of which... Anyone got any interesting indentation marks left by furniture or jewelry. Feel free to send pics that I can relax to!!
