My right knee started hurting me at least a year ago. At first the pain was intermittant: the knee would hurt for a couple of days, then nothing for about a week, then it would flare up again. Alas, about six months ago, the pain stopped being intermittent; the damn knee just hurt all the time. It wasn't so intense as to curb most activity...the pain in my right hip does that...but it was bothersome. Then yesterday I got out of bed and discovered the knee was fine. No pain, no feeling of swelling in the joint. Today? Still fine!
I've been tucked away in my cozy apartment most of this week, a refugee from temperatures around...and sometimes higher than...90F. However, I've done that plenty of other days, even weeks, in the past year; we get our share of inclement weather here in Philadelphia no matter what the season. I just wish my hip had reacted as well! That pain I can mitigate by walking with my rollator which allows me to stand up straight no matter how long I walk. Alas, the rollator doesn't deal well with stairs, and walking with one has made me aware of how many flights of stairs I encounter just buzzing around my neighborhood, never mind the world.
Next to my desk I have a small file cabinet, and on the cabinet I have my In box for stuff I need to deal with.
I share my In box with Smoke...
...which is not always convenient for me.
1. What was your favorite past time in high school? Going to the beach with my friends and/or family. We lived a five minute walk from the East China Sea.
2. What is your all time favorite board game/card game? Scrabble.
3. What is the last movie you saw at the theatre and what did you think of it? "The Hitman's Boss's Wife," an incoherent piece of fluff. I enjoyed it.
4. What is something (no matter what kind of mood you're in) that makes you happy the moment you do it, see it, or hear it? Eating ice cream, preferably in a cone.
5. Do you believe that crop circles are made by human or alien? Neither. I think they are some kind of a natural phenomenon.
