Instead of being named by somebody else, you chose your user name. I'm always interested in what inspired it: a fandom, aspects of yourself, a play on your RL name? So...satisfy my curiosity and tell me about yours.
How did you come up with your LJ user name?
Way back in 2005 I was signing on to the Showtime discussion board for Queer as Folk so that I could find the fandom that I knew must exist. They asked for my screen name; I had none. After staring at the screen for several minutes, I decided on a play on my first name: Nancy. I would change it just a little, since I was there because of what I had seen so...NanSee. No, not NanSee: FanSee. Perfect.
Have you ever changed it?
Never. I think it's brilliant.
