Okay, I had ambitious plans that involved regular updates on how my small, little, shady, urban garden was growing this year. Last year I went to Spain in May, prime gardening month, so nothing happened in my back yard except neglect. The year before (2015) I spent most of June in Australia...this is not a complaint...so I didn't bother to put in

I have one of those benches, too, a gift from Barb and we use it so much! I love having it and it's light enough for me to carrying - always a boon. I think your little garden is lovely and very lush in spots. The weeds are having a heyday with ours this year. I think I'll just give up and grow them next year...

My bench is probably 40 years old but shows no signs of wear. I bless the day I decided to splurge on it. FanSee

It looks as if you have your work cut out for you, though a lot of your plants seem to be doing really well so you have that going for you. It'll look lovely after you spend a couple of days on it, I'm sure.

I finally got all my flowers. I hope they do well. It stayed rather cool at night until just a couple of weeks ago, so they have a late start.

I'll post pictures, if and when, I make progress.

I may schlep over to Lowe's and see if I can get just a few more annuals to fill out places where members of the first batch quit on me. I'd like to replace one of my two flower boxes, too, if possible. Only Tuesday of this coming week has a busy day penciled it, so I'm hopeful. FanSee

I think the garden is looking good. Call Urban Jungle on Passyunk to see if handle annuals. Would be surprised if they didn't.

I went to Lowe's and they had masses of annuals still available. I got a nine-pack of impatiens which was enough to fill in the blank spots, so I'm set for this year. I think. FanSee
