I'm still so happy you liked The Martian! I've been trying for a year-and-a-half to get Suzanne to read the book or see the movie, but so far, no luck. People get the wrong idea thanks to movies like Gravity. I would never recommend a movie or book that had a downer ending. I avoid those like the plague! :)
I always suggest people listen to the audio book if they can. It's done by a narrator named R.C. Bray and it made his career, doing the narrative on The Martin. Me? I'm a super fan, so I've read the book numerous times, listened to the audio book numerous times, and seen the movie ... well, you get my point, LOL! :)

I rarely join more than one challenge at a time because I know the chances are pretty good that I won't be able to complete them. There just isn't enough time in the day.
I liked the movie, The Martian, but was unable to get into the book. I have trouble with books written in the first person. It's a rare one that is able to pull me in.
Monsters, Inc. is really cute. I didn't think I would, but I ended up loving Boo.
If I can incorporate both an attack on Mont TBR and the 2016 challenge into my personal 50 book challenge...well, it has already resulted in adding some diversity to my reading. That's a good thing.
On the other hand, diversity will probably keep me from coming near my 50 book goal. I spent almost a month reading my book on Spain...and was very glad I did...and will be lucky to finish my book on Venice by the end of July. That's two more histories than I usually read in a year! However, even though I've barely begun my Venice book, I've already filled in the gap on the city's origins that I didn't know I had. So worthwhile. FanSee
