The grass is always greener on the other side of the... 4th wall?!

The room had shelves on almost all the wall, but most of them seemed to be empty. There were only about fifty or so together on one shelf, and what looked to be a small library of video games. Binders full of pictures and notes filled the rest of that shelf. A fire burns in a mantle on one wall. It's very cozy- makes her want to snuggle down with a ( Read more... )

[Fitzpatrick, who will probably never learn his lesson about these rooms (otherwise what would be the point?), wanders in. He's puzzled by the abundance of couches, but eventually settles himself onto one.]

[Of course, imagine his bewilderment as the strains (in several senses) of "Rise, Rapture, Rise" reach his ears. [How to put this without breaking the universe... or Fitzpatrick's brain?]

Oh, er... I'm... Let's just say I'm a writer... of sorts. You can call me L33t - that's pronounced with long e's, but spelled with two 3's instead if that makes any sense.

[L33t fiddles idly with a strand of hair. She seems to be enjoying this far too much.]

By the way, I tried to play that scherzo once, and some of those chords don't even look humanly possible unless you've got an impressive handspan and long, bony fingers kinda like my older brother, actually... Then there's the tempo. What's your secret? Gene tonics? Nanomachines?

[Brain = broken.]
