I know why you shouldn't leave a bride at the altar. I know, because I am that bride. I know how it feels, to come into the company of a man, and see him and learn about him and know him, and never really be his. Not completely, no matter how close you get. You learn to love him, in a way that no one else can understand, and then he tells you that you are the woman, the one he's looked for, the one he wants to love and care for and be with.
And then, after spending years waiting for him to come to you, and dedicating a day to preparing yourself, making your body and soul clean so that he can have them completely, he doesn't show. He just skips out, has something better to do, someone better to love. You didn't know she was there, you thought you were her. Turns out you're enough to put on a pedestal, but not enough to be in his arms.
No matter how comfortable he may be, you'll never be creme brulee.
