I figured I should get this up before November turns into December, lol.
Writing-wsie, this was a pretty good month. I had hoped to be spending most of it on my still untitled NaNo novel, but instead I spent like a week on that before being drawn back to my fics.
I finished two of my bigger one shot projects this month, both of which are part of the
Achluophobia universe:
The Lone 32, and
As Evening Fades. Both of these were milestones, but for different reasons.
For
The Lone 32, it was both the size and the time in which I finished it. I didn't really start it until, hmm, late October, and it took me less than a couple weeks to have it done. For
As Evening Fades, it was that I finally finished something I'd been working off and on on since April, and the fact that by the end it was almost 8k words. That's the longest one shot I've ever written.
So, now, I'm actually at about the halfway mark for the
Achluophobia universe. I've done a lot of forward thinking, and a lot of fic adding. Originally, it was supposed to have a total of 4 one shots:
Achluophobia,
Last Dance,
As Evening Fades, and In Anticipation of Dawn. And the last was supposed to have been a sequel to
As Evening Fades. However, if you
go and take a look at the master list, you will find that this is no longer the case. Right now, there are a total of 9 one shots. And on top of that, I'm playing around with the idea of doing a multi part epic, which would pull from all 9 of the one shots and detail the aftermath of the one shots.
For now, however, I'm going to take a break from the AU. For the next month, I intend on popping out the third chapter of
And a Devil to Dance a Dirge With, as well as a sequel to
Over Ramen. So hopefully, I'll finish one of those before the new year, haha.
