It doesn't seem right to let such a day go by without mentioning the man of the day. What a year it's been -- he got married, his show hit 100 episodes, he got to direct, his Batman movie has no negative reviews on Amazon.... he is in a lovely place for a 33 year old and he owes it all to being that guy who takes his work seriously and is the best he can be.
I also was reminded that Gen and Jared got married the weekend before Jensen's birthday last year, so congratulations to the lovebirds as well!
Supernatural is a stellar show, but it somehow just makes it that much better that the guys bear little more than a passing resemblance to their caricatures from the French Mistake.
In other Jenseny news, my husband and I watched the first half of the Red Hood. It is very dark and violent, but seems like a good movie. Jensen does a great job and it's fun to hear his voice not playing Dean.
We also found the premiere of the Anime spn -- haven't watched it yet, but am looking forward to it!
And a few days ago, I went to itunes and found that finally, Steve Carlson's songs are available for individual download -- so you can pay a dollar and purchase the songs Jensen co-wrote: "You're Where my River Flows" (which I really love, though I wish Jensen was singing it) and "Love Me or Leave Me" (which is also fun). Others with Jensen singing backup are also available! Support independent musicians by paying them for their songs!!! My favorite Steve Carlson performance is his cover of "Be my Baby."
Hey flisters all -- Have a wonderful March First! (rabbit rabbit rabbit!)
