i did a driveby and totally stole this meme from
dontbitethesun MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT SPN
Episode of Supernatural That Got Me Hooked: Night Shifter, because I was googling Ben Edlund and discovered that for some reason he was writing for that cheesy xfiles ripoff with the impossibly goodlooking "brothers"
Favorite Episode: ugh, so many! Mystery Spot; Tall Tales; Changing Channels; What is and what should never be
What ep would I show someone to hook them? Nightshifter or Lazarus Rising
Episode that Bummed me out a little: all dogs go to heaven. That was a very sad ending to me.
Episode I Was Not Expecting to Like but did -- the episode where Dean and Anna make out in the Impala. meh. I was spoiled for it and outraged because the romance between them seemed trumped up -- but then in the actually ep, Anna's compassion and Dean's sweetness and feelings of unworthiness really sold it for me.
Episode That Made Me Cry: Abandon All Hope --repeatedly. ;_;
Episode That Was Actually Scary: Are you there God? the rising of the witnesses totally creeped me out. Also, I was terribly afraid they were gonna kill Bobby!
Favorite Episode of Season 6, So Far: Well, I really loved the whole fairies thing; I've watched Samarra about a dozen times; I totally enjoyed weekend at bobby's; and I thought Exile on Main Street was almost perfect. So I have four favorites out of eleven from s6 so far.
Favorite Het Pairing: Dean/Lisa, she said,
37,000 words later.
Favorite Slash Pairing: Dean/Sam
Favorite Season: Season 4, followed closely by s3
Favorite Monster-of-the-Week: Veritas
Top Three Reasons I Watch SPN:
1) DEEEEEEEEEN! tears; big goofy grin; deadly killer eyes; awesome taste in music.
2) SAMMEH! he has the strength to go out there and make the morally compromised choice because it's what he has to do to save Dean and the whole world, and I truly admire him for that.
3) the IMPALA!!! A thing of beauty is a joy forever. And she is one year older than me!
Why Season Six Is Not At All Like Season One:
s1 was very episodic, and it was about saving people, hunting things. s6 is about complications of the apocalypse!! our show is all grown up! weeps tears of joy!! Okay, so this question finally helped me nail what worries me about s6 -- and that is this: the Mother of All is too Buffy a monster -- she's not a monster, she's a primeval force. You can't take her down, she's intrinsic to the nature of existence. it's hard to have faith that they'll handle it well without dumbing her down, when all we have to go on so far is their successful (in my opinion) treatment of Lucifer and semi-finessing of "God."
