Happy New Year!
Several new action figures have joined the little crowd at my house! Along with Bucky and Steve, Clint and Natasha, I now have also Sam, Thor, and Loki -- plus an adorable little Dancing Baby Groot pop vinyl -- that makes six Avengers, a Guardian, and a Trickster! :D
This evening we watched our first ever movie on Amazon Prime, which was a gift from my brother-in-law. We chose to watch "The Host" by Director Bong Joon-ho, who made Snowpiercer. It was a good, suspenseful monster movie, alos a little sad, but very well-made. Two of the Korean actors, Song Kang-ho, and Ko Ah-sung, who were so good in Snowpiercer were also main characters in The Host. There was a dudebro in the beginning of the movie who was actually not Chris Evans. :P
The action figures all crowded into a comfy basket to watch the movie. I startle-screamed one time but none of the trigger happy dudes shot me. :D It seems very important who sits next to whom in these situations, so it goes Clint, Natasha, Sam, Steve, Bucky, Thor, Loki. Loki and Cint are separated by the maximum number of defense players, but unfortunately they have a clear line of sight from each end of the seating arrangement. So far, no shots have been fired but Clint refuses to put away his bow. On the plus side, Bucky is strangely unintimidated by the Asgardians. And on the drawback side? Sam can't take his wings off. Maybe Tony think this is a feature. :P
I'm thinking about watching Puncture soon. The idea of Chris doing legal strategy in his suspenders and tattoos is somehow compelling. :P
We had a lovely Christmas with my mom, sister, and brother-in-law -- and then went on to a huge reunion on my husband's side.
I am working on stories for folks but with all this family time, it has eaten into my fic writing time. Fun ideas are percolating!!! :D
